Krista Jennings Langford is a native of Georgia. She began her training under Phyllis Allen at the Lawrenceville School
of Ballet. She came to Texas to attend Texas Christian University (TCU), where she earned a BFA in Ballet and Modern
Dance and a BA in Writing. At TCU, she performed works by Li-Chou Cheng, Susan Douglas Roberts, Elizabeth Gillaspy, Luis Lara
Malvacias, Holly Williams, and Sarie Mairs Slee. During the summers, Krista studied at various programs including Ann Reinking's
Broadway Theatre Project, and the Bates Dance Festival. She was awarded the Jerry Bywaters Cochran Scholarship for Excellence
in Modern Dance in 2006, and in 2008 she received a grant from TCU's Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Initiative
to produce Six of One, Half Dozen of the Other, a concert of her own choreographic work. She has also choreographed for student
dance and theater productions at TCU and in Georgia, Missouri, and Colorado.
